Dodge Demon – The Story

The Dodge Demon Story

One reason we love the print business, specifically the car wrapping portion of the business, is the variety of projects we get to work on. As they say on the History Channel’s hit TV show Pawn Stars, “You never know what is going to walk through that door!” The Dodge Demon is a vehicle wrap to remember.

The Mission

We got a call one day from the customer after being referred by a sign shop in New Bern, NC. He had the vision for transforming his 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon and we were the only place that could do it justice! We met a couple times, and the team got to work in transforming the Demon into a piece of artwork that matched the aircraft he flew while active duty in the United States Marine Corps.

The most difficult part of the project was ensuring that every detail matched the aircraft perfectly. The finished wrapped was to be seen at the Cherry Point Air show, by tens of thousands of people and every details mattered for the appearance, for them and the customer. After creating all the artwork to match the fighter jet, in Crystal Coast Graphics fashion, we laid them onto the Demon with military like precision. Whether your vehicle is going to be seen by one person or thousands, every detail matters and that is our standard.

Our favorite part of the project was when the team and I made a trip to the airfield to take photos of the aircraft for inspiration. We were able to take those photos, and use our creative skills to redesign the artwork for the Demon. With every vehicle, there are body lines and accents that accentuate the vehicles attributes, every inch is taken into consideration while laying custom artwork such as this!

Mission Accomplished

In the end, we were able to provide the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon with a custom wrap to match its owner’s flight wings! It was in honor to work on this project because of the creativity and rareness of the vehicle, but more importantly to honor a retired USMC pilot who served our country. Godspeed and Oorah!
