Cooler Weather Wrap Maintenance

1. While you should still stick to the traditional hand-washing method to clean the exterior, pay close attention to the amount of dirt building up on your wrap during the cooler months. People tend to wash their cars less during cooler weather to avoid being outdoors around soap and water in chilly temperatures, but it’s important to keep it spotless to preserve the lifespan of your wrap.

2. Avoid using an ice scraper on the wrap surface. This may seem like common sense, but as ice begins to accumulate on the outside of your wrap, just be patient and let it melt to avoid scrapes and scratches to its surface.

3. Clean off salt as needed. We are a ways away from dealing with icy road conditions, but prepare in advanced for salt on your vehicle wrap. Although the vinyl can withstand a good amount of salt, it cannot withstand the full impact of salt’s corrosiveness. It can cause a great deal of damage to your wrap, so rid of salt on its surface as soon as you see it on the roads.

Preparing in advanced for chillier conditions is key for the longevity of your vehicle or truck wrap. There is a great deal of damage that can be done from neglecting to take care of your car during cooler months, so be sure to invest your time and energy into preserving  your investment to keep it looking spick-and-span.
