How to Care for Your Wrap: Part 1

1. How often should I clean my wrap? This question depends on where you live and the air quality where you live. If you’re driving in a city setting, we would suggest washing your wrap once a week. If you live in a more open, less polluted area, you may get by with washing it every two weeks. Keeping your wrap shiny and clean is key to catch the eye of potential customers and clients.

2. How should I clean my wrap? We would suggest that you hand wash your vehicle using a gentile automotive detergent and soft sponge/cloth. Do not use abrasive products to wash your wrap, as it can wear down the vinyl and cause it to lose its luster. If you opt for a car wash (although hand washing is safer), you can take it to an automated brushless car wash. Brush car washes can be too rough on the outside of your wrap, causing it to peel and unstick from your vehicle. It’s better to be safe than sorry!

3. What should I do if gasoline or fuel gets onto my wrap at the gas station? If you notice gasoline has dripped onto your wrap at the gas station, wipe it off immediately. Gas can cause the wrap to degrade the vinyl if it is left on too long. Be sure to use a wet towel to clean it off before you get home, then clean it more thoroughly upon arrival.
